Welcome? The Refugee Experience, with David Horspool

The North Hackney Welcome Project will rehome a family from Syria this summer. Its work across the UK has literally been a lifeline for many families. Here, David Horspool of the TLS talks to Dina Nayeri, author of The Ungrateful Refugee, one of the most widely shared long reads in the Guardian and award-winning BBC journalist Nick Thorpe, whose book The Road Before Me Weeps is a powerful and revealing firsthand account of the migrant and refugee experience on the overland route across Europe.
